AUGUST MESSAGE
Thought for the MonthAugust, A Month of Transformation, Hope, and Peace.
August invites us to lift our eyes beyond everyday routines. On August 6th, the Church celebrates the Feast of the Transfiguration. When Peter, James, and John glimpsed Christ's divine glory. Jesus revealed His radiance, not just to awe them, but to strengthen them for what was ahead. We're invited into those moments when God's light breaks into our ordinary days, transforming fear into courage, doubt into faith, and despair into hope. A few days later, on August 13th, the message of Our Lady of Fatima echoes through the month. Pray, turn back to God, trust in His mercy. Mary never points to herself, but always to her son. In a noisy, divided world, her call reminds us that peace begins in hearts open to God. And on August 15th, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary lifts our eyes to the hope of what God promises, a life fully transformed and with Him. Together, these feasts show that true peace isn't the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ in it. As we let His light transform us, we become people who carry peace into our families, our parish, and our world today.
